The location of the treasure in Rusty Quay is marked by a shiny spot on the ground. To help with navigating the maze, try zooming out and changing the camera angle.

1) This one is a bit long, it never hurts to save your progress! 2) 8bit systems have much smaller registers than you’re used to. 3) Isn’t this great?!? The coins are OVERFLOWing in their abundance.

Finding the Gameboy Cartridge⚓︎

Again, the web socket "AAANNNDD_SCENE" message reveals the location at Rusty Quay on Steampunk Island.

This is close to the starting point, marked by some different looking background. To actually get there, however, we must navigate a maze of rusty iron sheets, of which we currently see only a small part.

Fortunately, we find that the havascript running in our browser already has loaded an all-in-one map of the island: spi-rustyquay_floor.png

This allows us to find a long and winding path from the starting position to the cartridge: path

999 Points⚓︎

Some coins are worth 1 score point, some 10, others 100. We collect coins to reach a score of 999. The trick is to go up to 899, then grab a 100 coin. Otherwise, the worth of coins will increase when getting close to 999, making exactly hitting that goal difficult.

A good strategy was turning back and forth between lower levels. The coins will return and we can harvested them again. When we reach 999, this message appears and our coins reset to zero:

The Long Jump⚓︎

After some levels with coins and small creatures, we meet Jared at the begin of another level. This level also contains a very long jump.

To master the jump, we used the BGB Video Ram Editor

to place many grass tiles across the gap.

Those tiles gave away fast when jumped upon, but long enough to jump from tile to tile to reach the other side.

On the other side, we enter a cave, talk to Tom Liston and ChatNTP, move a stone,
